

Al was born in Yonkers New York March 22nd of 1923. He attended Columbia University, for 1 year, then enlisted in the U.S. Army Aircorp to serve his Country.
After World War 2 ended, He was Honorably discharged & attended Purdue University on the GI Bill. He graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering, and accepted a job with Standard Oil New Jersey in Venezuela, South America. After training in the oil fields in West Texas for 1 Year, in 1949, He began his Overseas career in Lagunillas on the Eastern Coast of Lake Maracalbo, Venezuela.
It was at a training course in Caracas Venezuela in 1950 that he met the Love of his life, Jean, on a blind date. Jean had just arrived in Caracas from London England to work for Shell Oil. They married in 1952, & had 3 sons, Mark, Tim & Greg, All born in Venezuela. Al enjoyed living in Venezuela & made lifelong friends, as did his sons.
Al and Jean retired to Punta Gorda, Florida in January of 1975, after completing his 25 years of service with Standard Oil New Jersey (Creole). In his spare time as a retiree, Al enjoyed his family, Gardening, investing in the stock market, & his pets.
He was preceded in death by his son Tim, in 1999, & his wife Jean in 2014.
He is survived by his sons Greg (Monique), Mark (Susan), Grandson Scott & Granddaughter Jennifer & Grandaughter Trisha, as well as 6 Great Grandkids.
