Charles Fred Moseley, 94, was reunited with his bride of 75 years, Betty Waldrop Moseley when he went home to our Lord and Savior on July 2, 2021. Charles loved the Lord, his family, Fox News and sweet potato pie. He also loved to share his “dad jokes” and playing tunes on his harmonica. Charles was a proud American, serving in both World War II and the Korean war. He was a successful entrepreneur who built his modest cabinet shop (started in his wife’s kitchen) up to a $1,000,000+ millworking business with more than 100 employees. He had the mind and skill of an engineer, receiving presidential recognition for developing an advanced method of shipping supplies to our honored Vietnam war soldiers. Charles, lovingly remembered by his family as “Big Papaw” leaves behind many who are blessed with a lifetime of loving memories. They include his son, Charles Richard Moseley and his wife Marie of Port Charlotte, FL; his grandson Chad Moseley and his fiancé Jennifer of New Port NC; granddaughters Wende Willbanks and her husband Chris of Bentonville, AR, Christine Parker and her husband Greg of Havelock, NC, and Nichole Norman and her husband Neil of Archdale, NC; great grandsons Grant Willbanks and his wife Arieal, Jackson Willbanks, Thomas Willbanks, and Caullin Spiller; great-granddaughters Kayla Netherly and her husband Dwayne, Montana Nance and her husband Tanner, Morgan Moseley, Victoria Shaw and her husband Stephen, and Natalie Norman; and seven absolutely beautiful great-great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held July 13, 2021 at 9:30 AM at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Road 72, Sarasota, Florida 34241. The family asks that you visit the online tribute for Charles at www.kays-ponger.com and share any special memories you may have of Charles.
