Paul Charles James Jr.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Charles (Chuck) James, Jr. of Lake Suzy, FL on October 2, 2022. Paul was born on December 1, 1955 in Elmira, NY. He was the son of Janet Hartman James and Paul James, Sr. Paul graduated from Southside High School in 1974 and from SUNY Delhi in 1976.

He is survived by his wife, Martha, Lake Suzy, FL and his children Daniel (Tamra) James, Victor, NY and Nicole (Corey) LaRoche, Bow, NH. He is also survived by his five beautiful grandchildren: Knox, Jett & Krew James and Daxton & Macie LaRoche; all who lovingly referred to him as “Pops.” He also leaves behind his three brothers Barry (Barbara) James, Elmira, NY, Gregory (Shelley) James, Elmira, NY, Douglas James, Vail, CO and his brother in-law, Joseph Shea, Clifton Park, NY along with his many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by both parents and his sister, Valerie Shea.

Paul was a selfless and generous man. He is best remembered for always putting others before himself, and putting care into even the smallest of details. Paul was President of Reimann Wholesale (Watertown, NY) for twenty years. His passions in life included his family, his grandkids, his close friends, golf, travel and pickleball. As he often reminded his friends and family, he was a “natural athlete” playing many years of softball and basketball as well. After retirement, Paul and his wife relocated to Florida to enjoy all of their favorite things in the sunshine.

We would like in invite all family and friends to join us in a celebration of life that will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Central City/M&D Deli at 17 Central Ave, Cortland, NY 13045 from 12-4pm.
