

Steven was born on July 25th, 1951, in Providence Rhode Island, preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Norma Desrosiers, and survived by his brothers, James Desrosiers, John Desrosiers and Norman Desrosiers.
Steven is survived by his wife, his high school sweetheart Rebecca J. Desrosiers of 54 years and his two sons Steven C. Desrosiers II (Elizabeth Desrosiers), and Michael S. Desrosiers. His five grandchildren, Rebecca P.D. Clark (Jared Clark), Derek Desrosiers, M. Gage Desrosiers, Leah Kessel (Kyle Kessel), and Rhiannon Desrosiers.
Steven lived a full life, blessed enough to meet his great-grandchildren, Everett Clark, Kash Desrosiers, Leo Clark, and Daisy Kessel.
Steven attended George Washington High School in Charleston, West Virginia. He served in the US Army Armored Division from January 21, 1971, to January 13th 1973. After the Army, he was employed by General Electric. Steven spent the remainder of his career coal mining in West Virginia and then shell mining in Punta Gorda, where he later retired.
Steven was an incredibly talented woodworker, mechanically inclined, and a man who could fix it all. His knowledge and expertise were greatly shared with those around him, always willing to educate. He enjoyed fishing, tinkering, and spending time with family and friends.
Steven quickly became a friend and storyteller to all else who met him. His memory will live on, in all of us who loved him, never to be forgotten.
There will be a memorial service, remembering the life of Steven at Kays Ponger funeral home in Punta Gorda on June 19th, at 11 am.
