Andrew "Andy" Oscar Clemenson

Andrew was born on January 9, 1963 in Fargo, North Dakota to Allen and Agnes Clemenson. He had nine siblings: brothers Michael, Allen, Winnie, Tim, and Mark; sisters Elizabeth, Evelyn, Elaine, and Tina.Andrew Clemenson married his soul mate, Mona L. Hawthorn (Winchell), on August 10, 1982 in Reno, Nevada at Chapel of the Bells. They were married 32 ½ years.Andy was a pro-union Carpenter/Drywaller for 33 years. He was involved with the union as a Trustee and Delegate with Local Union 41. Andy’s fellow union brothers admired him as a stand-up member in the United Brotherhood of Carpenters. Andy did volunteer work at his church. He especially enjoyed participating in “Faith in Action” to help others in need. His passion was to get donations for the Back-Pack for Kids program so children would have food to eat. He gratefully received donations from his union, Local 41.Andrew was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His grandchildren Ian, Kaliandra, and Jaxson will miss him very much. Andrew Clemenson is preceded in death by his father Allen, his brothers Mark and Allen, and his sister Elizabeth. Andy leaves behind his wife Mona; his children Marchelle, Tom, Kelli and Matthew; three grandchildren; his mother Agnes; brothers Michael, Winnie, and Tim, and his sisters Evelyn, Elaine, and Tina.Viewing will be Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Powers Funeral Home, 320 W. Pioneer Ave., Puyallup, Washington, and also at Our Savior Lutheran Church on Friday, January 16th from 9:30 to 10:15 am. Memorial services will be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church starting at 10:30 am with a reception to follow, 4519 112th St. East, Tacoma, WA 98446. Graveside services will commence at 2:30 pm at Mountain View Cemetery, 2020 Mountain View Drive, Auburn, Washington, 98001. The procession will be escorted by motorcade. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the Back-Pack for Kids program at Our Savior Lutheran Church in memory of Andy.
