Hi Dad,

Your Memorial was last weekend and it was a packed house, and even some of your jokes came out.  JJ's Dad told about you at the baseball game, it was too funny.  The reality is starting to sink in that I will never get to talk to you again and it is getting harder.  I figure if I can get through this I can get through ANYTHING.  I do talk to you every day but wish I knew you could hear me and wish you could answer.  I hope you know how much I love and miss you and Mom. It hurts.

Take care and see you some day, not too soon though.

Chuck, I will miss your visits to the  bus garage. We had many good chats and solved most of the worlds problems. You were very proud of your family and I'm so fortunate that you shared many stories of them with me. You even gave me good advice when I needed it. I know your family will miss you deeply as we all will. It was time for you to go home too be with the love of your life,Jean..........Your heart is whole again. Your spirit will live forever. Your family is blessed to have such wonderful guardian angels to watch over them. My thoughts and prayers are with the Whitney family. May God comfort each of you through this sad time and always.

How do you say goodbye to someone who has meant so much to you..
It's really hard, Chuck was one of the great ones.. he was a wonderful man and words cannot describe how much he was loved and will be missed by everyone whose lives he has touched.
I adopted Chuck as an extra grandpa over 20 years ago and I always looked forward to seeing him at the Milton Safeway where I work; handing out buddy poppies for the VFW and having a ball visiting and joking with everyone. I will miss him dearly..
