

David (Dave) Allen Helle passed away on November 2, 2013 after a hard-fought battle with Leukemia. He was born January 2, 1947 in Oconto, Wisconsin to Edval and Carol Helle. After a few moves during his early years, the family settled in Edmore, North Dakota where he was raised. David was married, to Carole Legacie on December 17th, 1966 with whom he had three children, Lauri, Troy and Carmen. He graduated from University of North Dakota in 1969 with a degree in Business. David moved to Puyallup, Washington where he began his career as a CPA. He opened his CPA office in 1973 and served the Puyallup community for over 35 years before his retirement. David loved life and could light up a room with his boisterous laugh. He was an avid golfer and was a member of several organizations, most actively the Puyallup Eagles. David passed on his love of golf to his children and grandchildren. After his retirement, David found a love for gardening and often shared his harvest of fresh fruits and vegetables with his family and friends. David is survived by his brothers, Edval Helle Jr., Randy Helle (Kristy) and sister, Diane Koltes (Jerry), his children, Lauri Kiehn (Kevin), Troy Helle (Melanie) and Carmen Helle, his grandchildren Ashley Kiehn, Amie Kiehn and Dane Helle, as well as several uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edval and Carol Helle and nephew, Greg Helle.
A celebration of life will be held November 14th at 1:30 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home in Puyallup, followed immediately by a reception at the Puyallup Eagles.
