Edith Jan Jeanette Gates-Templeman

Jan passed into the arms of Jesus on June 22, 2014. She was born in Tonasket,WA on Sept. 27, 1937 to Leonard and Inabel Fish. She was the eldest sibling of six: Lavina, Ellen, Betty (deceased), Blaine and Stephen.

On July 17, 1954 she married her first love, Robert Stanley Gates, who preceded her in death. Together they raised four children; Barbara (Richard), Jouddie (Dave), Fern (Carl) and Robert (Leisa) and were blessed with ten and a half grandchildren.

Later Jan found love again and married Orval Templeman. With this union she gained three children, four grandchildren, 22 and half great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Mom had a deep love and care for all. She was a retired nurse from Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup. Due to her nurturing nature, those in her spiritual family lovingly referred to her as Mother Jan.

There will be a time of visitation from 4:00 until 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 26, 2014 and again at Noon until the Celebration of Her Life at 3:00 PM on Friday, June 27, 2014, all of which will be at Powers Funeral Home in Puyallup. Interment will be at Wauconda Cemetery in Wauconda, WA.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Lung Association.

It brings comfort to know you’re dancing with Daddy again. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
