

Edward Paul Carda was born June 23, 1940 in Sidney, Montana. He went to be with our Lord July 6, 2016. Ed graduated from Sidney High School in 1958 and went on to join the Marine Corps. He served in Japan and returned home in 1961. He worked road construction in Montana to pay for his college education, and then enrolled in college at the U of M in Missoula. After graduation, he was recruited by Weyerhaeuser Company and spent over 38 years in various capacities there. He retired in 2004 as Business Controller of the Building Materials Division. While at Weyerhaeuser, Ed served on the Board of Directors of the Woodstone Credit Union, AERT in Arkansas, and was involved with the National Association of Accountants. Ed was also active in his community and was Treasurer of his Homeowner's Association, Chairman of the Finance Committee at Sts. Cosmas & Damian, and did various other community service work. After retirement, Ed enjoyed golfing, fishing and spending time with his family. He courageously fought aggressive Prostate cancer for 11 years, trying new treatments so he could help others who would come after him. He leaves behind his wife of 40 years, Liney, sons Kelly (Freda) of Puyallup, Mark of Renton and daughter MaChaun of Redmond. Four beloved grandchildren, Sean, Ayla, Olivia and Jack Carda. He also is survived by brother Harold (Kay) of Sidney, MT, sisters Elaine of Littleton, CO and Loretta Williams (Roy) of Thornton, CO, along with numerous nieces, nephews & cousins. He will be truly missed.
