Cecile Noisy

Cecile Noisy was born November 22, 1928, in Haiti. She was the second daughter of the late Charles Hilton and Emma Nicolas. She attended primary and secondary school at St. Rose de Lima (Lalue). Following secondary school, Cecile decided to attend law school, however changed focus and graduated in accounting.

She married Jules Noisy in 1955 and had two children Monique and Jacques. In 1963, the family left Haiti for New York. However, after less than a year, her husband was offered a position by PanAm to manage their office in Kinshasa, Congo. She moved with her children and husband and stayed for 2 years. Upon leaving West Africa, Cecile and her family returned to New York and settled in Queens. After 41 years of marriage she was widowed in 1996 and joined her daughter in Freeport.

Cecile devoted more than 30 years at JP Morgan Chase where she worked as an accountant. She had a strong faith and participated in many prayer groups before and after retirement. She loved to sing and was a member of the choir here at Our Lady of Lourdes for 30 years.

She was a very strong and independent woman. One of her favorite phrases was “Se granmoun ki nom” (“I’m an adult, respect me”). She was a devoted grandmother and frequently said her granddaughters were the joys of her life. She loved to travel with her family and kept busy at home with her sewing and knitting. She was a loyal and dear friend to many.

Cecile is survived by her siblings, Joseph and Michele , her children Monique and husband Jean-Pierre , Jacques and wife Mildred, her granddaughters, Pascale and Danielle, her great grandsons Leo and Ami, many nieces and nephews, and numerous other loving family members and deeply cherished friends.

A visitation will take place at R. Stutzmann & Son 224-39 Jamaica Ave. Queens Village, NY 11428 on Saturday, July 19, 2025 from 8:15am- 10:15am. The funeral mass will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church 92-96 220th St, Queens Village, NY 11428. Please note that only the funeral mass will be livestreamed. A private cremation will follow.
