Doris Emmanuel-Garcia

She was born on December 16, 1956 in Port-de-Paix, Haiti, the only daughter of Jeanine and Francois Emmanuel. She migrated to New York in 1970, pursued her education and worked as a dialysis nurse for several years.

Doris married Hubert Garcia in 1984 and has 2 wonderful children, Kahmil and Kortni Garcia. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother who positively touched the lives of everyone she encountered.

Doris was a sports enthusiast and a great soccer player in her younger years. Her other interests included music, dancing, movies, cooking and family.

She is survived by her husband Hubert, her daughter Kortni, her son Kahmil, her grandson Jonah, her brothers: Gary, Reginald, Jose, Hogarth; her sister-in-laws Feddy and Guerline Emmanuel, Marie Josee Edmond, Ginette Nestor, Ketty Harris, Mireille and Nancy Garcia, her brother-in-law Rony Garcia, her nieces and nephews and their families: Darryl, Janika, Joshua, Shammi, Sooky, Kharadi, Yamile, Najeeb, Bashir Emmanuel; Gerald Jr, Kachi , Michelle, Sophia, Kevin and Katrina Garcia; Brandon and Kyle Harris; Medrick and Megan Nestor; Consolisa and Carmsley Edmond; Her aunts: Charite Hyppolite and Chimene Jean-Paul; her cousins: Mildreed Simon and family; Romilda Thelusma and family; Peguy Duroseau and family; Regine Daniel and family; Anne-Marie Dadaille and family; Peguy Maurice and family, Parnel Maurice, Beatrice Moron, Paul Ganot, Serge Goudet and families Lafontant, Cadot, Raoul, Lominy, Petion, Lamour, Lamisere, Flavien and friends.
