

Jacqueline Bazile Graham, 73, of Queens, NY, passed away on January 4, 2017 at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. She was born to the late Agency Bazile and Andrea Jean-Marie on October 1, 1943 in Port Au Prince, Haiti and emigrated to NYC on August 20, 1970. Jacqueline received her certification as a cosmetologist from Wilfred Beauty Academy in the early 70’s and worked in Quality Assurance at Annex Stein Corp. She married the late Wilfred Graham on January 20, 1971 and they remained married for nearly 40 years. Jacqueline resided in Manhattan, NY for most of her life before relocating to Brooklyn, NY and finally to Queens, NY.
She was a Cosmetologist/Beauty specialist in Manhattan for over 20 years until she retired and moved to Brooklyn. She took great pride in personally changing her clients into their most beautiful selves. She was a “hopeless romantic” and found enormous pleasure in any great love song. An avid listener of music and a lover of life she spent countless hours singing along to her favorite songs and transforming any gathering of family or friends into a memorable event. In her youth she especially enjoyed the arts and participated in several theater and cultural organizations. She served as the dance instructor and choreographer for shows and plays at the local middle school, and was an especially active member of the church choir in her hometown.
Jackie didn’t have any children of her own but fostered deep relationships with her nieces and nephews. Her brothers, sisters and numerous nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews survive her.
A viewing will be held at 5pm on Friday, January 13 at R. Stutzmann & Son Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at Our Lady of Lourdes Church Saturday, January 14. Entombment to follow at St. John's Cemetery in Middle Village, NY.
