Josephine Limbert

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Josephine Limbert on December 23, 2025, at the age of 71, at her home in Manhattan. Predeceased by her parents Josefa and Daniel Padro, her son, Edward Jerome (EJ) Verdeflor, and her sister, Virginia Garcia. She is survived by her sisters and brothers, their children, and nephews, Neil Garcia and Kevin Garcia.

Born in Manhattan, Josephine attended Saint Cecilia School and later attended The City University of New York. She married her husband, Edward Limbert and raised her son in New York City. Josephine worked for the Hospital for Special Surgery as an OR Scheduler for 17 years.

Later in life, Josephine enjoyed spending her time working on many projects, including arts and crafts. She lit up the room at the local Senior Center, where she volunteered with her friends. She was a kind and generous person that will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

A memorial visitation will be held at R. Stutzmann & Son, located at 224-39 Jamaica Ave, Queens Village, NY, 11428, on January 31, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A prayer service will take place at 7:00 pm. The service will be available via live stream at the following URL: (https://fweb.tv/236748).
