Oh so happy and so bright there is perfect joy and beauty in this everlasting light,
All the grief and pain is over, every restless tossing past,
I am now at Peace forever, safely home in heaven at last.
Do you wonder why I so calmly trod the valley of the shade,
Oh, Jesus love illuminates every dark and fearful glade.
He came himself to meet me, in that way so hard to trod,
and will Jesus' arm to lean on, how could I have one doubt or dread.
Then you must not grieve, for I love you dearly still.
There is a time to live, a time to die, a time for laughter and a time to cry.
Time is as endless as can be, our time is measured by the Lord and He alone can cut the cord.
So tarry not along the way, then as our life runs out here on earth,
If Christian we have been, devoted too -
Our time will endless be with God throughout eternity.
Now lie down to pleasant dreams,
The rain will never pour, the sun will always shine. and pain will be no more.
God has Blessed you,
