LaShaun was born to Ronald and Wanda Smith on May 27, 1963 in Jamaica, New York. She earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in Speech Communications and went on to obtain a Master of Science degree in Special Education. LaShaun worked as a Speech Pathologist for over 36 years. Her dedication to her profession and her students was truly inspirational.
LaShaun is predeceased by her mother, father, brother and grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, son in-law, three grandchildren, sister, and nephew.
Services will be held at R. Stutzmann & Sons at 224-39 Jamaica Avenue, Queens Village, NY 11428. In remembrance of LaShaun’s life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
