Dear Theresia, Diane, Ralph and Family
            Please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of your dad. Had I not met your dad as a young man in the woodworking industry the outcome of my life would have been very different. After watching me for a few weeks, Leo one day he came to me and said “put your tools away and come with me”. Quite worried I complied thinking the worst. Little did I know then, that it would be the most defining moment in my career and one of luckiest days in my life, for not only I was tutored on the ways of woodworking but being a young man inexperienced in the ways of life I also got many valuable lessons specially on how deal with others.  Leo was not one for long lectures but led by example. However there were countless statements forever imprinted in my personality, sometimes simple and many times profound such as “look, listen, and be quite” or “never, especially when in a position of power strip anyone from their dignity “and “when under stress carry yourself with grace” only to mention a few. He was tough, but fair, but most of all an individual of integrity.
          We are a product of the people we associate with, and I am blessed to have been associated with Leo. The only regret I have was not to have kept in touch with him over the years, however in the fast pace of life in these days one looses site of time and of what should be priority. Therefore there is one more lesson learned from him, and that is to make sure you let the people that made a difference know that they did so while it is possible. Rest in peace my friend.
