Maria Fatima Chaves

Maria Fátima Costa Chaves, 61, of Queens Village, NY, passed away on May 25th 2022, after a long fought battle with Cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer). Maria Fátima was born on June 1st, 1960 to Albano and Deolinda Costa in Bornes de Aguiar, Portugal. In 1986, she married Ilidio Correia Chaves in Queens, NY. Maria Fátima & Ilidio went on to have three children, Sofia, Jessie and Melessa. One of Maria Fatima’s greatest joy was being a grandmother. Maria Fátima is predeceased by her parents Albano and Deolinda Costa, her brother Joao Manuel Costa, her father in law Joao Alves Chaves and sister in law Dalila Maria Chaves. She is survived by her husband, daughters, son in laws, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, brother in laws, sister in laws and mother in law.

Services will be held as follows Visitation will be Friday, May 27, 2022 from 4-8pm at R. Stutzmann & Son and the Funeral Mass will be Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 10:45am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church R.C.C in Queens Village
