As an adult in Haiti, Rose taught at a public school and also worked as a secretary for a government office.
She met Constant Daquin who would become her husband and the father to her four children - Renaud, Marie May, Eddy and Guy.
To provide a better life Rose and her husband decided to move to Colombia where they lived for several years. Her next voyage was moving to the United States- New York City. Once in the states Rose worked with several agencies providing patient care until she retired.
As a mother she devoted everything to her children and made many sacrifices to provide and ensure their success. She raised four wonderful children who became amazing adults and for that Rose couldn't be any happier.
Rose loved cooking and watching television on her infamous couch by that front window in her Queens home. She loved Judge Judy! She would laugh and laugh, she was always full of joy and happiness.
Rose is survived by her three siblings, her four children, her step-daughter Marlene, her step-son Anthony, her grandchildren Sandra, Johanne, Steve, Monique, Micheline, Nathalie and Nicholas and several great grandchildren.
Rose was the matriarch and the backbone of our family. We were blessed to have her for 98 years. She will be deeply missed. Her legacy lives through us and we will always keep her close to our hearts.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.rstutzmannandsonfuneralhome.com for the Daquin family.
