Thomas Cochrane McAuley, 74, of Floral Park. Loving husband of Karen. Beloved father of Tara & Bridget and father in law of AJ Sweeney. Cherished grandfather of Alexa & Christopher. A proud Air Force veteran, Tom's life work was as an airplane mechanic. A dedicated member of the Bellerose Terrace Fire Department, his past titles include: Chief, Commissioner, Captain & Fire Inspector. Tom devoted his time to the many organizations he was a part of. He belonged to the Floral Park Knights of Columbus, the Nassau County Firefighter Operation Wounded Warriors, the Moose Lodge in Tampa, FL and played as Santa for many years for Toys for Tots. His presence will be missed by his dear family & friends.
Friends may visit at the funeral home on Sunday, November 22nd & Monday, November 23rd from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral mass Tuesday, November 24th 10:45am at St. Gregory the Great RC Church (Bellerose). Cremation to follow at All Souls Crematory (East Elmhurst).
