Andy is survived by his sister, Deanna Chan of Lexington, and her husband, Sherman; his nieces, Victoria and Alison; and nephew, Zachary. Andrew is preceded in death by his father, Shee Yuen, and mother, Jackie (Ng) Wong.
Andy was born in Cambridge, MA on July 23, 1962. He grew up in Boston’s Chinatown neighborhood with his parents and sister and attended Boston Technical High School. He graduated from Northeastern University in Boston with a degree in Criminal Justice. Andy had a fascination with all modes of transportation – spaceships, trucks, motorcycles, buses and trains. He joined the MBTA on May 4, 1998, working as an Operator out of Bartlett Garage and ultimately moved to the Southhampton Street Garage, working as an MBTA Inspector. He considered those he worked with at the MBTA as his second family.
Andy will be remembered as a very friendly, fun-loving guy who was always willing to help anyone that he came to know. Andy had a quick wit and love of humor that will surely be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Andy enjoyed trying all the new food joints in town and testing recipes in his air fryer. He was always full of recommendations of things and places for others to try; though he was never without his tried and true - a large Dunkin Donuts iced coffee.
Details of Andy’s celebration of life will be shared once available.
