Annie Yee Gee

Annie Y. Gee, 99, of Milton, MA passed away on May 18, 2026, surrounded by family. She was the devoted wife of the late Edward M.Y. Gee, with whom she shared 75 years of marriage. Loving mother of Marvin, his wife Helen and their children Matthew and Meredith, Edmund, Janet and her husband Stephen, and Sharon, her husband William and their daughter Aimee.

Born in 1927 in Lawrence, MA, Annie was the daughter of the late Wah Sun Yee and Fong Shee Yee and brother to the late James K. Yee. She was a first-generation Chinese-American who lived in Boston’s Chinatown for many years before moving with her family to Milton, MA.

Annie’s first job was working in the Actuarial Department for John Hancock Life Insurance Company. She also worked for 20 years as an Administrative Assistant for Metcalf & Eddy before retiring in 1992. Family time was very important to her, but her true passions in recent years were watching old TV westerns, game shows and being an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox.

Visiting hours and funeral service will be held at the Deware Funeral Home, 576 Hancock Street, Quincy, MA on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM, followed by a time of remembrance from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Interment to follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.
