Brenda Sue Brewer Thompson

Dateline: Shannon Mrs. Brenda Sue Brewer Thompson of Shannon, NC died Friday September 6, 2013 at UNC Hospital Chapel Hill. Mrs. Thompson was born April 23, 1959 in Scotland Co. NC. She is preceded in death by her mother Ruth Helen Brewer, her son Donnie Wayne Smith and her brother Charles Alexander Brewer. She was a member of the Hoke County Wagon Train for over 25 years. She was employed with Hoke County as a bus driver for the handicapped. She was a long time dedicated member of the Hoke County Parks and Recreation. She is survived by her husband Jackie Thompson of Shannon, NC; 2 sons Lonnie Smith and Ronnie Smith (Shawnta) of Lumber, Bridge NC; 3 daughters Blanche Smith of Lumber Bridge NC; Diana Walker (Brandon L.) of Shannon, NC; Laurie Jones (Ray) of Raeford, NC; 2 brothers Robert Brewer (Mary) of Norfolk, VA and Ronnie Brewer (Jeannete) of Baltimore, MD; 2 sisters Kitty Bell ( Rev.Tim) of Lumberton, NC; and Laura Robin (Tom) of Hope Mills, NC; 13 grandchildren, Jeremiah, Brandon, Brian, Cody, Malachi, Logan, Damien, Destiny, Shanelle, Brandon, Marcus, Tony, and Nicholas. 1 aunt Mrs. Catherine Oldham. Numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be 7:00pm to 9:00pm Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Crumpler Funeral Home 131 Harris Ave. Raeford, NC. Funeral service will be 2:00pm Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at the Crumpler Funeral Home chapel with the Reverend Tim Bell officiating. Interment will be in the Macedonia Holiness Methodist Church Cemetery 3720 North Duffie Road Red Springs, NC.
