Dorothy Schell Stevens, 84, of Red Springs, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Southeastern Hospice House. Dot was a homemaker and long-time member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling with friends and family. Dot was preceded in death by parents George and Bertha Southern; her husband Furman Schell; two brothers, Bobby Southern and Bill Southern; two sisters, Mary Holden and Opel Southern. She leaves behind a daughter Diane Sykes and husband Bill of Marietta, GA.; son Keith Schell and fiancee Berry of Lumberton; brother Frank Southern and wife Eunice of Billings, MT; sister in-law Margaret Schell of Red Springs and Deenie Southern of Raeford; grandson Brandon Schell and wife Katy of Clayton, NC; granddaughter Jamin Schell and close friend Bill Kozak of Leland, NC. Memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 204 E 3rd Avenue, Red Springs, NC 28377. A graveside service will be held on Monday September 6th, at 11:00 am at Alloway Cemetery in Red Springs. Arrangements by Crumpler Funeral Home of Red Springs.
