Janice Britt Parks

Mrs. Janice Britt Parks of 6391 Aberdeen Road, died Sunday September 5th, 2010 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital at the age of 75. Mrs. Parks was born in Robeson County on August 28th, 1935 to the late Robert Britt and Tessie Vera Parker Britt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Lloyd Parks and her son Steve Parks. She was a member of Ashley Heights Baptist Church . She was the Owner and Operator of Parks Grill before she retired in 1995. Survivors are her son, Michael L. Parks and his wife Vera of Raeford; three daughters, Carol Thornberg of Raeford, Marsha Broadaway and her husband Jim of Raeford, and Jennifer Johnson and her husband Tim of Raeford; seven grandchildren, Beth Broadaway, Dale Broadaway, Catherine Owen and her husband Jonathan, Michael Parks, Aaron Parks, Sylvia Gross, and Brandon Parks; and five great-grandchildren, Joshua Orem, Sara Barber, Steven Thompson, Mason Broadaway, and Sebastian Owen. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00pm on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Crumpler Funeral Home in Raeford, and at other times at the home, 6391 Aberdeen Road, Raeford, NC 28376 Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at Shiloh Presbyterian Church with Reverend Dr. Lynn Bullock officiating, directed by Crumpler Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Shiloh Presbyterian Church, 127 Ruth Street, Aberdeen, NC 28315
