

Mr. Jesse Colonel Locklear of 280 Clifford Road died, Saturday, December 31, 2011 at his home at the age of 82. Mr. Locklear was a farmer and a member of Galilee Baptist Church in Red Springs. He is preceded in death by a son Allan Ray Locklear and his brothers and sisters Harley W. Locklear, Munson Locklear, Viola Jones, Quessie Mae Oxendine, Mamie Lee Locklear, Blue B. Lancaster, Mary Lee Locklear and Mattie Bell Oxendine. He is survived by his wife, Ethel L. Locklear of the home; Sons, Claude E. Locklear of Red Springs, Wesley Locklear of Red Springs and Jesse C. Locklear Jr. of Red Springs; Daughters, Carolyn L. Oxendine of Hope Mills, Anna Jane L. Currin of Ramseur, NC, Elaine L. Hollingshead of Red Springs, Del Rose L. Lowery and Doris Locklear, both of Pembroke, NC. Brothers and sisters, Reola Locklear, Winnie Lee Jones, Early B. Locklear, Spencer Locklear, Billy Locklear, Huberton Locklear, James Earl Locklear, Charston Locklear, Wayne Locklear, Lenora Locklear and Jan Locklear. 17 Grandchildren, 26 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Galilee Baptist Church in Red Springs with the Reverends Donald Bullard, Harley W. Locklear, Marlie Locklear and his nephew Jerry Ray Locklear officiating. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Monday January 2, 2012 at Crumpler Funeral Home, 220 East 4th Ave. Red Springs, NC 28377 Arrangements for the family are in the care of Crumpler Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 220 Eat 4th Avenue, Red Springs, NC 28377.
