Jessie Eugene Smith, Sr.

Mr. Smith was born on November 16, 1953 in Beatrice, AL to the late Anthony and Mamie Smith. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Linda Smith, Marion Smith and Richard Smith.  He served in the US Army and was awarded an Expert M-16 Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Presidential Unit Citation. He was employed for many years with Fasco Fans and retired from MJ Soffee in 2020.

Left to cherish is memory are his wife Linda Sumpter Smith of Fayetteville, NC; two daughters, Stephanie Smith of Fayetteville, NC and Angela Smith of Fayetteville, NC; a son, Jessie Smith Jr. of Greenville, NC; a grandson, Jaylin Womack of Fayetteville, NC; two brothers, Nathaniel Smith of Columbia, SC, and Andrew Smith of Bruce Mississippi, and a sister, Earlean Atkins of Uniondale, New York. A host of nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives and  precious friends.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Crumpler Funeral Home Chapel, 131 Harris Avenue, Raeford, NC

The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home..
