Joshua Adam Sessoms

Joshua "Josh" Adam Sessoms, 42, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at his home in Hampton, Virginia.Josh Sessoms was born on November 20, 1978, in Lumberton, NC, to Timothy Sessoms and Margaret Hinson. He attended public schools in Cumberland County and was a graduate of South View High School. After graduating from high school, he served in the United States Army. After serving his country, Josh followed in his father's footsteps becoming a licensed electrician. He loved the outdoors, cooking, and woodworking. Josh had a tremendous heart and loved making people laugh. Most of all, he loved his children.Josh is survived by his children, Connor Sessoms and Shelby Sessoms of Anchorage, AK; father, Timothy Sessoms of Raeford, NC; mother, Margaret (Buford) Hinson, of Rock Hill, SC; brother, Brian (Eleana) Sessoms of Morrisville, NC; and grandmother, Peggy Johnson of Matthews, NC. Josh is also survived by his aunts, uncles, cousins, niece and nephew. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Lester and Dorothy "Bubbie" Sessoms and Garnette Johnson.Due to concerns with COVID, a small service will be held for immediate family members only.Services have been entrusted to Crumpler Funeral Home of Raeford.
