
Mr. Leonard William Rogers of 320 East 4th Avenue, died Monday, May 23, 2011 in Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton at the age of 84. Mr. Rogers was born on May 5, 1927 in Dillon, SC to the late Raymond and Annie Rogers. His son, Timothy Rogers preceded him in death. Mr. Rogers served in the US Marines during WWII. He was a lifetime member of DAV and VFW in Robeson County. He was a founding member of Red Springs Church of God. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Ermie Rogers of the home; two sons, Jerry Rogers and wife Debbie of Holden Beach, NC, and Randy Rogers and wife Regina of Red Springs, NC; two daughters, Nancy Fields and husband Jerry and Shirley Johnson and husband Randy, all of Red Springs, NC; 6 grandchildren, Melinda, Wendy, Jason, Stephen, Jessica, and Christy; and 4 great grandchildren. The family will receive relatives and friends between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 PM, Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Crumpler Funeral Home, 220 East 4th Avenue, Red Springs, NC. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Crumpler Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Harry Clark and Reverend Keith Woods officiating. Burial will be in Alloway Cemetery.
