

Mrs. Louise Rogers Love, of 1861 Gainey Road Raeford, died Saturday, June 4, 2016 at her home at the age of 90. Mrs. Love was born December 24, 1925 in Marlboro Co. SC to the late Arthur Rogers and Eliza Faulk Rogers. Mrs. Love was employed with Southern Bell for 30 years. In 2008, she was given the honor of being recognized as an AT&T Pioneer. Throughout her life, she volunteered and served her community by serving in the capacity as Registrar for the Hoke County Board of Elections and Registrar for the Hoke County Tax Listing. She was an active member of Bethel Presbyterian Church and was bestowed with an Honorary Life Membership. In the church, she served in many capacities to include, Ruling Elder and Session Member, Pastor Church Committee, Nominating Committee, Sunday School Teacher, and various other committees. Mrs. Love was one of the prominent farmers in Hoke County. Mrs. Love was preceded in death by her husbands, Prentiss Jennings "P.J." Walters and Daniel Julian Love. She is survived by two sons, Danny Walters (Valerie), Benny Walters; her daughter, Susan Hester all of Raeford, her brother, "Buck" Rogers (Ruby Mae) of Springs Mills, NC; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great -great grandchildren. A visitation will be held 7-9pm Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Crumpler Funeral Home-Raeford. A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm, Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Bethel Presbyterian Church with Reverend Sanders Read and Pastor James Wilhide officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
