Margaret Ann Peggy Champagne

Peggy Champagne (nee Brown), age 77 resident of Raeford NC, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2017. She was born the youngest of nine children to the late Earl Brown and Mabel Clements Brown in Bad Axe, MI on April 20, 1939. Peggy was preceded by her husband Joseph Champagne; her daughter Darcey; other family members were, Alice Brown, Mac Brown, Charles Brown, Jean Davis Brown, Doris Brown and Doc Brown. Peggy graduated from Bad Axe High School in 1957 and was actively involved in organizing class reunions till the day she passed. While Peggy and Joe did raise their family in Westland, her roots and heart were always in Bad Axe, she returned often to visit family and friends. She was a strong woman, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Peggy worked for 20 years as a Technical Editor for Zantop International Airlines and Chrysler Pentastar Aviation. She will be missed by many but remembered by the relationships she forged and the values she lived by and instilled. She is survived by her son, Todd and wife Ann; her daughter, Michele; her son, David and wife Melanie; six beautiful grandchildren, Christopher and wife Bethany, Jeremy, Erica, Julia, Madalyn and Olivia; her sister, Phyllis Jones Brown of Flint, MI and brother Calvin (Violet) Brown, of Bad Axe, MI. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
