Mildred Mays Quick

Dateline: Aberdeen Mrs. Mildred Mays Deese Quick died Wednesday Morning, October 19, 2011in Kingswood Nursing Center at the age of 80. Mrs. Quick was born in Surry County on April 13, 1931 to the late John Brady Mays and America (Anna) Creed Mays. She was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, Floyd Deese and her husband of 32 years, David A. Quick. She was a member of Ashley Heights Baptist Church where she was active with the Senior Adult Group. Survivors include a daughter, Dawn D. Lee and her husband Donnie of Pinehurst; three sons, Dennis Deese and his wife, Carolyn of Denver, CO. Darry Deese and his wife, Gail of Aberdeen, Dean Deese and his wife Lisa of Roseland; two brothers, Laverne Mays and his wife, Jean and Kenneth Mays and his wife, Lib both of Aberdeen; two sisters, Imogene Cox and her husband, Billy of Aberdeen; Vivian Huffman of Greensboro; 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, October 21, 2011 at Ashley Heights Baptist Church with Reverend Kevin Huff officiating. Burial will be in the Ashley Heights Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Ashley Heights Baptist Church, Building Fund, 10351 Aberdeen Road, Aberdeen, NC 28315 Care of the family is entrusted with Crumpler Funeral Home of Pinebluff.
