Roy Lee Stephenson

Mr. Roy L. Stephenson of 3307 S. Parrott Ave., Okeechobee, FL, formerly of Fayetteville, passed away October 25, 2010 at the VA Medical Hospice Center in West Palm Beach, FL at the age of 86. He was born in Johnston County and preceded in death by his Parents James Percy and Buleah Roberts Stephenson; his former wife, Christine Elizabeth Williams Stephenson; sister Grace Welton; and brother Bobby J. Stephenson. He served in WW II; U.S. Army; recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. Survivors include his wife Jean R. Stephenson of 25 years; daughter Elizabeth Anne Stephenson Amatrudi and husband Anthony; son Donald L. Stephenson and wife Angie; granddaughter Susan; and grandson Tony, all of FL. Sister, Doris Lee of Fayetteville and 3 special nephews James V. Lee, Thomas Lee and David Lee. The family will receive relatives and friends October 29, 2010 from 4 PM until 7 PM at Crumpler Funeral Home, 131 Harris Ave., Raeford, NC 28375. Funeral Services will be officiated by Reverend Thomas Lee at 10 AM on October 30, 2010 with burial at Wayne Memorial Park in Goldsboro.
