ateline: Raeford Mrs. Virginia Lee Long 63 of Raeford NC died July 19, 2013 at First Health Hospice House Pinehurst, NC. Mrs. Long was born May 26, 1950 to the late George Adams and Velma Hagar in Los Angeles County CA. She was a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her husband James Long, Sr., her son Raymond Long and her brother Swen Skantz. She is survived by 5 sons James Long Jr. of NE; Gregory Long , Kevin Long, Daniel Long , Henry Long all of Raeford, 5 daughters Lisa Garner, Kristin Long, June Long all of Raeford,NC; Kimberly Miller of Red Springs, NC and April Long of CA; 2 sisters Linnea Puumala of IA; Sharon Zieglmier of MN and 13 grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the home of Kristin Long 212 Reeves Street Raeford. A memorial service will be held 3:00pm Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Raeford Evangelical Methodist Church in Raeford.
