

Adele Rosko, 92, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family after a brief illness, on March 4, 2010. Born on December 16, 1917 in Elizabeth, NJ; she was the daughter of the late Alphons and Mary Sinta Haneski.
She is survived by her daughter: Joanne A. Grover, of Raleigh; grandchildren: Laura Anne Grover, of Raleigh, Kevin R. Grover and wife Dresden, of Oak Ridge, NC, Robert John Rosko, II and wife Michelle, of Oxford, Conn., and Ronald J. Rosko, of Landgrove, Vermont; and great-grandchildren: Jason and Sean Grover and Robert and Mary Rosko.
Adele was preceded in death by two brothers, by her son: Robert John Rosko in 1993, by his wife Barbara Rosko in 1985 and by her husband: Stanley Rosko in 2006.
Adele was dedicated to her family and the Lord. She left this earth and those who knew her with a greater devotion to Jesus. She is most beloved and remembered as a sweet, selfless mother and grandmother. Adele’s sense of humor and resilience will be ever present. As an active homemaker, walker, swimmer and beach-goer, she lived life lively. She will forever remain deep in the hearts of those who knew her.
Family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 4-6 PM at Mitchell Funeral Home (7209 Glenwood Avenue) and from 12 Noon until 1 PM on Monday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (11401 Leesville Road). A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 1 PM at the church, with interment to follow at Raleigh Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Triangle Area Chapter American Red Cross - 100 N. Peartree Lane - Raleigh, NC 27610 or to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
