Dear Summerlin Family, 

How lucky we were to live next door from you all on Churchill Road! Your mom Agnes was the BEST, and your dad was wonderful, too.  Both of your parents were a great support to my late mom, Ruth Cook, and they were truly ‘givers’ in word and deed. 

It was always a treat to run into your mom, and I was always thrilled to hear her fabulous laugh and enjoy her sense of humor.  What a gift she was to the world. 

We are holding you close in spirit as you remember her, and may her memory always be for a blessing.

I am so sorry to hear about Agnes's death.  She was my supervisor,  at the state lab, when I started in 1981.  Learned a lot from her, but mostly a friendship developed...
She had a big heart and loved her family dearly..
I am sure heaven welcomed another angel..
My heart goes out to the family.

Agnes had the most beautiful smile, it was genuine and you felt it when she smiled and spoke to you.  I will always remember that! She always loved soft comfy cotton clothes that showed off her lovely scarf collection.  I loved having her and Rose come and shop together at my store Galatea… we had the best times and she always brought us joy.

You will be missed Agnes Summerlin by so many including me.

I will always remember and never forget Agnes Summerlin. I worked with Agnes and Art Summerlin for 9 years and grew to love them both as family. I so enjoyed working along side Agnes and the lunches that she and I shared during those years. She told me so many stories about her children and grandchildren which she was so proud of and loved each one dearly. She was such a smart, kind, generous and loving person and such a great advisor. She always encouraged me to work hard and better myself.  I’m so glad I had the opportunity to stay in touch with Agnes for the last 23 years. I will truly miss her, our phone conversations and visits. I loved Agnes and always will. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the family. My deepest condolences,

I will remember Agnes as lovely and stylish with a warm smile and a great laugh. I had the privilege of knowing Agnes through Galatea Boutique and always enjoyed her visits. Sending much love to her family.

Hands down the sweetest most caring person I knew.  It was an honor to call her my Aunt.  I will not physically be there on Wednesday but my heart certainly will be.  Love to you all.  Sara Wilson

So sorry for your loss.  I loved your mom and dad.  Your dad delivered my son in 1966 (even though he was not on call that day).  Your mom would come out to our home in Fuquay and help my mom can/freeze vegetables.  Mom always made sure she went home with fresh vegetables and country sausage.  Your parents would come to our annual pig pickins.  I'm sure some of you kids came along when you were so young.  Your mom and dad were so much more than doctor/wife/friend.   They were also my mom and sisters doctor/office manager.  I will never forget their kindness.  I wish you peace and comfort as you move forward.  Your parents were great people.  RIP
