Aileen was one of the first female furniture sales persons in Raleigh, working for Kimbrell’s Furniture and Sears. She had quite the green thumb, and truly loved gardening, especially taking care of her geraniums. She was a wonderful homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother.
Aileen is survived by her children, Wiley D. Harris, Jr., wife Stewart, and Karen K. Christians; grandchildren, Amanda Carroll, husband Greg, Wesley Harris, wife Julie, Wyatt Harris, wife Jamie, and Melissa Stallings, husband Eric; and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, L.B. King, and her parents and siblings.
A visitation will take place Wednesday, September 2, 2015 from 10:00-11:00am at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh, NC. Services will begin at 11:00am, with interment to follow at Raleigh Memorial Park.
