So very sorry to learn of Alice's passing . I was one of her professors, at Greensboro then NCSU. I will always remember her as one of the most talented fiber artists I had ever met. She will be missed.

Bre and Devin, you are both in our prayers and thoughts.  Both Megan and Kathleen were devastated when they learned of your mother's death. They have such fond memories of their time with you and your Mom. Know that our prayers continue for your Dad . . . and be strong.

Such a wonderful teacher, co-worker, and friend. Alice was a rockstar here at Nordstrom, I was lucky enough to have her teach me how to sew, construct garments, and inspire me daily at Meredith College before she began her Nordstrom journey. I'm so greatful to have known her and to have had the opportunity to have her in my life not once but twice! She will be greatly missed and her family and friends are in my thoughts and prayers, I am so very sorry for your loss. What an amazing, beautiful, and kind hearted woman Mrs. Alice Gurley was, rest in peace.

May Mrs. Gurley rest in peace.  She was such a loving Mother to Bre and an amazing Grandmother who doted on Avery and Grayson.  She will be missed greatly by all who knew her.

May you rest in peace Alice. I learned a lot about building relationships with customers while at Nordstrom. I send well wishes to your husband and daughters whom you mentioned so much.

Mrs. Gurley was my professor at the Art Institute of Raleigh-Durham. She was dedicated to teaching and developing our minds. She will be greatly missed.

Alice, will be missed. I worked with Alice at the Art Institute and she was truly a very special person. She had a deep impact on all of her students and everyone she came into contact with. I remember Alice always had a smile on her face, even if she was having a rough day. She will be missed.

I worked with Alice at Nordstrom. She was one of my favorite people to work with every day and i will miss her dearly. I knew how much she cherished her husband, daughhters, and grandbabies. Alice was a sweet soul and the world just isnt quite as bright without her in it.

Your beautiful,  growing family is a testament to the kind of mother and person you are.  Your legacy has touched many lives and will go on.

I taught with Alice at the Art Institute.  She loved teaching and her students and was always so friendly and thoughtful.  She will be greatly missed!  My thoughts go out to her family.

We are so fortunate to have gotten to know Alice and Don Bre and Devin over the past couple years.  So glad we got the chance to spend time with Alice.
