Ann received her BSN from Drury College and MA from the University of Denver. She began her nursing career in the Cadet Nurse Corps and then enlisted in the Army. She served in Germany, Viet Nam and many other locations across the world during her military career as a medical-surgical nurse. She retired as a Lieutenant Colonel after serving for over 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Hubert “Sol” Solomon and her stepdaughter Linda and step son-in-law Paul Bamford.
She is survived by her niece, Carla Leyva (Michael), grand nieces Shannon Harrison (Stephen), and Kerry MacPhee (Josh), grand nephew Scott MacPhee (Shira), great grandnephew Ronen, and step granddaughter Michelle Bamford.
The family would especially like to thank Wanda Wall and her team for the care and compassion they showed our loved one.
A military memorial service and interment to follow at Fort Bliss, El Paso, Texas at a future date.
