

Annie Rose Strickland Reynolds, 88, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2010 in Raleigh, NC. She was born on November 12, 1922 in Spring Hope, NC, to her parents George C. and Rosa Lewis Strickland.
She was predeceased by her husband, Fred Roland Reynolds. She is survived by her children- daughters Latrelle Bailey and her husband Bill, of Raleigh, Ramona Geddie and her husband Harold, of Oak Island, NC, and son Roland L. “Buck” Reynolds and his wife Dawn, of McDonough, GA. She will also be missed by her 17 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
In 1955, Annie Rose went to work as a temporary proof machine operator for Security National Bank, now known as Bank of America. After 27 years in the banking industry, she retired as a vice president of operations NCNB, allowing her more opportunity to enjoy her family. She loved planning the annual family beach trips, enjoying the laughter, good food and being together as a family. Another passion was her love for Nash County, but her main love was always Fred, her husband of 51 years.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday December 20, at the Chapel of Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow at Oak Dale Cemetery, Spring Hope, NC.
