Beth was born September 2, 1959 in Raleigh, NC to the late Dr. Edwin Lee Pierce and Judy McWhorter Pierce. She was a graduate of East Carolina University and was employed as a broker with Merrill Lynch. Most recently, she enjoyed landscaping Japanese sculpture gardens.
Beth is survived by her sister, Kathy Sayers; brothers, Paul Pierce and his wife, Marion; Tim Pierce and his wife, Chiu-Mei; and David Pierce; nieces, Megan Sayers; and Leslie Pierce; nephews, Wilson Pierce; Harrison Pierce; and Evan Pierce.
The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 300 St. Mary's Street, Raleigh, NC 27605. A private family graveside will be held at Raleigh Memorial Park.
