

Bettie Louise Dobbins Carmichael passed away in Raleigh, NC on October 14, 2021 at the age of 89. She was born in Winston-Salem, NC, the daughter of Porter and Coetta Dobbins. She was a 1950 graduate of R.J. Reynolds High School.
Bettie was a talented homemaker, a member of Raleigh Moravian Church, and served many with her needlework skills, cooking, and volunteerism in Christian love and kindness. She loved her God and her family with all her heart.
Bettie was married for 62 years to David Carmichael, who predeceased her in 2017. She is survived by daughters Karen Fasolino (Chuck) of Micro, NC, Elaine Lee (Bobby) of Cary, NC, and Angela Huston (Kevin) of Apex, NC; nine grandchildren; and was “GG-Ma” to 10½ great grandchildren. Brother-in-law Roger Carmichael of Kernersville, NC, also survives her. She was predeceased by her parents, and by brothers Porter and Malcolm Dobbins.
A private graveside service will be held at the God’s Acre Moravian section of Oakwood Cemetery of Raleigh. A memorial service will be held in the future. Bettie loved the traditions and especially the music of the Moravian church.

She loved the Lord
