She was born February 18, 1924 in Cadogan, PA to the late William and Mary Jane Round.
Betty was a wonderful homemaker and a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Ernest L. Claypoole.
Betty is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Alyce and Robert Miller and niece, Lauren Jones; her sons, Jimmy Claypoole and wife Rita, and Jack Claypoole and wife Christy; her grandchildren, Andy Claypoole and his wife Ginger, Meagan Claypoole, Eric Claypoole, and Josh Claypoole; her great grandson, Drew, and great granddaughter on the way, Sage.
A visitation will be held on Monday, May 12, from 6:00-8:00pm, at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 13, at 3:00pm, at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC.
