Mrs. Pecoraro was born August 25, 1936 in Tennessee to the late Bill and Mary Dodd. She was raised and educated in Tennessee. She relocated to Chicago in 1959, where she was employed with Western Electric for many years as a Secretary. Upon leaving Chicago, she spent several years in Montreal and Toronto, eventually relocating to Raleigh in 1978.
She is survived by her son Rick Depriest, and his wife, Denise, of Toronto; grandchildren, Robert, and his wife, Teresa, Tina Borrello, and her husband, Joe; great-grandchildren, Joshua Borello, Saige Borrello, Kaya, Kiora; sister, Becky Flerlage; brother, Mike Gilbert.
In addition to her husband and parents, Betty was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Pecoraro.
A Memorial Service was held in the Mausoleum Chapel at Raleigh Memorial Park on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 3:00pm, with Rev. Craig Gaither officiating. Burial followed in the cemetery.
