Outlaw II (Janna) and great-grandkids, Shannon Alexis and Charles T. Outlaw III, of Newport News, VA, and daughter-in-law, Rose Outlaw Thompson (Bill) of Little River, S.C.
Charles enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1943, and served in WWII during the Normandy invasion (inc. Battle of the Bulge) and was honorably discharged in 1947. Charles made a career as a "bread man." From Sunbeam Bread in Fayetteville, then a move to Raleigh in 1967, he ended his career with Wonder Bread as route supervisor and retired in the late '80s.
After retirement, Charles and Clara left Raleigh for the country (Godwin, NC) where they enjoyed gardening and taking road trips. Charles also enjoyed his extended family (Bob, Leonard and Kim Kratzer, and their kids). In the '90s, Charles also worked part-time for the Town of Falcon.
Health concerns brought Charles back to Raleigh in April 2012, where he lived with daughter Sherry until his death. The Outlaw family is very grateful for the fine care provided by 3HC Hospice Services. Thank you to Candice, Joe, Katherine, Vickie, Rev. Harvin and Donna.
