Dave was born November 18, 1957 in Columbus, OH to the late David B. Nunamaker and Lois Bernadine Higgins. Dave grew up in Ohio and led an eventful life, traveling the country working as a manager within the hospitality industry until finally settling in Louisburg, NC with his wife and family.
Dave was a beloved father, husband, and brother. He was strongly principled and was a veritable Renaissance Man. He was an artist, avid reader, history lover, builder, and craftsman. He adored his cats and was often found napping with 3 or 4 of them alongside him. He married into a family that loved and respected him and he took the most pride in being a fully beloved husband and father. He took great pride in his children and in the home he built for them with his own hands.
David is survived by his wife of 31 years, Elizabeth Qualters; children, daughters, Hallie Qualters Nunamaker and Daidria Eckels Renkel; son, David James Qualters Nunamaker; and sisters, Donna Debenport and Lois Wise.
A private family service will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2024.
