Donna Friar Kilpatrick

Donna was born February 6, 1941 in Catawba County, NC to the late Johnny William Friar and Verna Eckerd Friar. She is preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, A. Jeff Kilpatrick. She is survived by her 3 children; Mark Poage, Lori Jackson and her husband Chris, and Keith Poage; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 sisters and 3 brothers, many nieces, nephews, 2 Uncles and many cousins. She worked as a computer technician with Alpha Numeric for many years. But first and foremost, she spent her life being a wonderful, nuturing wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Hillyer Memorial Christian Church for almost 30 years where she enjoyed serving the church, the members and her community. She touched many lives and was loved by all who knew her and will be truly missed by all.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Hillyer Memorial Christian Church, 718 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh, NC 27603. Burial will follow the service at Raleigh Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwwod Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27612.
