Ellie was born in Rocky Hill, New Jersey, and spent her early years there before moving to Morrisville in 2015. She was married to Robert Jackson for 37 years. Together, they raised three children: Alex, Tyler, and Nicholas, who were the center of her life.
Ellie was known for her dedication to her family and her sharp sense of humor. She will be remembered for her kindness, strong support of her loved ones, her love for her children, nieces, nephews, and pets – and her widely loved lemon drop shot.
Ellie was a warrior, she fought tirelessly against lung cancer – beating the disease two times. She was an advocate for others – supporting various pug rescues, the Elks lodge, and foundations that aim to treat lung cancer and myotonic dystrophy. She loved chatting with loved ones on the phone, spending time with her soul dog, Bella, listening to Tim McGraw, and watching movies with her family.
In addition to her husband and children, Ellie is survived by her stepchildren Matthew and Joshua Jackson, and Joshua’s son Juan and daughter Savannah. She is also survived by her siblings Chuck (Anne) Robotti and Lisa (Dane) Wood and their children, her extended family, and several lifelong friends.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 5, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Apex Funeral Home, 550 W Williams St, Apex NC 27502. **Please note the place of service**
