Elizabeth Ann Wisnowski

Elizabeth Ann Wisnowski (‘Betty’) of Raleigh, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at the age of 85. She was born on August 19, 1937 in Milford, Massachusetts and grew up in Whitinsville, Massachusetts.

Betty loved spending time with her family and friends, vacationing, playing cards, or simply being with them and conversing.

Amongst Betty’s work history was a 10-year career at IBM Corporation in the 70’s and 80’s, in Boca Raton, Florida, a career she enjoyed and made her proud.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Lucina and George Forsythe, and sister Ruth (Frank) Fifield.

She is survived by her beloved family; love of her life and husband of 66 years, Walter Wisnowski, sons Robert (Patti), John (Marie), and granddaughters - Kathryn (Craig) Rinefierd, Lauren, and Carly (Corey) Van Patten.

Betty’s fond memories include raising her sons in the town of Ipswich, MA, vacationing in North Conway, NH in the early years, and making new friends in the various places she and Walt lived in their life.

The family would like to thank the many close friends Betty made throughout her life who gave her great joy, her neighbors for their help and companionship, and Shonikqua, a very recent caregiver, for the care, compassion and friendship she gave Betty.

At a later date a small gathering of friends and neighbors will celebrate Betty’s life.

Betty battled and won over heart disease and lung cancer -- she was a strong person and persevered. And she was always interested in learning new things, including navigating her iphone!
