

Mr. White was born January 9, 1933, in rural Bladen County, NC to the late John C. and Ethel Lee White. He graduated from Bladen County public schools and then joined the US Air Force. After being honorably discharged, he worked for J.P. Stevens in Greensboro, NC. Using the GI Bill, he then attended East Carolina College and graduated with a degree in psychology and a minor in business administration. His degree and outgoing personality served him well as he became an insurance salesman and worked many years with Liberty Mutual until his retirement in 1992. Frank was active in the Capital City Club, Masons and Wake County Shrine Club. His passions were hunting quail with his English Setters and Pointers, fishing with his children and grandchildren and aerobics class with his wife at Trinity Baptist Church where they were members. Frank enjoyed spending his weekends in his hometown farming.
In addition to his wife of 37 years, Mr. White is survived by his children, daughters Ellen Grant (Russ) of Seaboard, NC; Suzanne Fernandez (Scott) of Charlotte, NC; sons, Cleve White (Christine) of Wilmington, NC; and David White (Donna) of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Greg, Chandler, Taylor, Lauren, Davis, Charlie and great-granddaughter Laci.
Mr. White was preceded in death by his parents, wife, June, three brothers, J. C. White Jr., Henry White, Morris White and four sisters, Beulah Kinlaw, Christine Page, Verna Bowman and Jean White. Survivors include brother Emery White and sister Mabel White.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Mitchell Funeral Home, officiated by Dr. Jeff Roberts. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Raleigh Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors prior to the service, beginning at 12:00pm.
