Fred is survived by his wife of 47 years, Martha Myers; a daughter, Nicole Royster and husband Jamie; and a granddaughter, Catherine Royster, all of Raleigh.
He was a graduate of North Carolina State University, and was an accountant. He was a long time member of both the Optimist Club of Raleigh and the Capital City YMCA on Hillsborough Street. In addition, Fred was a veteran of the US Army.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Transitions LifeCare, or Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, or to charity of one’s choice.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 25th, beginning at 10:30 am followed by 12 noon funeral mass and reception at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Burial to follow the reception at Montlawn Memorial Park.
